Even before the rise of Islam, the veil was present in the Middle East. The increasing strength and dominance of religion  over the region and beyond only reinforced and deepened its meaning through the centuries.

This series, Structure, serves to emphasize the the importance of custom, tradition, social reform as well as religion, in creating a code so coherent and interdependent that it has become almost impossible to contemplate the veil without all of the elements that have had a part in its creation.

That said, the work that comprise this series do not attempt to judge the veil in traditional values but rather show its place as an integral part of the skeletal elements assembled to cretics the whole thing.
